Holidays

As I sit back and think on the holiday, I am reminded of my childhood and of so many pleasant memories.  As a child we see things so differently than we do as adults, funny thing is we all want the same thing regardless of our age.  That thing is happiness and joy.  Christmas season is the most wonderful time of the year.  People are nicer, more helpful and caring.  If you take a deep breath it seems like the air smells better.  Not really, I just wanted to add that in there since I was on a roll. 

I have set myself to give back each and everyday of the year not just at this time of year.  To show someone kindness and to extend myself to help someone else.  Why should we only be nice and caring during this time of year?  We are capable of much more than that.

Give it some thought and think of ways that you can give back to others from family, friends to strangers.

It's great to see those ' fairytale stories' if you will. As human beings we have the privilege to change our future and bounce back after great odds.

What do folks really want??

Have you asked yourself, I wonder what the people that know me really want from me?  Well I have and only because what I give or have given they dont seem to get.  lol.. Folks are really good at telling you what they do not like but have a very difficult time in expressing what they want. 

Could this be because many of us are so guarded and dont wish to see the forest for the trees.  So we cut ourselves off before we can even be discovered.

Just a thought that I had.

It was 4 ppl on a plane. The pilot, Boy Scout, computer wiz and a Minister. 


The pilot said, “We have a problem, the planes going down and its 4 ppl here but we only have 3 parachutes, so somebodies gotta go down with the plane.”


The pilot said, “Its not going to be me, I have a wife and kids and this is my plane, so he took the parachute and jumped out. 


The computer wiz said, “I’m one of the smartest men in the world and they need my knowledge”, so he took one and jumped out. 



The Minister looked at the Boy Scout and said, “young man I have lived a full life you take the last parachute and I will go down with the plane.” 



The Boy Scout said, “Reverend don’t worry the smartest man in the world picked up my knap sack and jumped out the plane!!!” 



Moral – Don’t think that you are all that to the world and everyone. Because u will jump out there at the wrong time with the wrong stuff..  

So if you want to know your significance.. stick your finger in a glass of water and see the impression(dent) you leave behind.. – Selah
